Note From Lori Falk

Hi Karen,

Just wanted to fill you in and maybe you can pass on the information.

There was a meeting last night in town about the vote for May 17th.

The two plans are as follows:

Plan A would be for redistricting, which at this point would be the best option.

Plan C would be to close Delaware Valley and Narrowsburg (which is what Mr. Derry and the school board are leaning towards)

At the meeting, we were all asked to send letters to the school board voicing our opinion.

Carol Wingert wing1@citlink.net has a form letter with the addresses that she said she will e-mail to people if they want it.

I also think it would be a good idea if you e-mailed her and got more information on this, (as I don't want to give any wrong information).

I know you aren't up here but I know you have the most contact with a lot of the alumni and I think it is really important that we stick together.

Thanks-
Lori

Please pass this information on to all Narrowsburg Friends and Family (whether still living in the area or not) ~

Comments:
Hi everyone, Please check out the last two important posts about the possibilities of Narrowsburg Central closing! Please join in and Get involved in this one. I believe only those of us who have actually known the benefits of living in a small town and going to a school where we are all known and loved can truly know how important this issue is. Everyday I send my children to schools which have none of these qualities and it truly saddens me. I believe this is a school worth fighting for. I am over 600 miles away from you all, but I will do my best to at least forward the information on to you. If you are also out of the area, please at least forward these emails to friends and family who are still there in the area, so that Our school has good representation and a chance of survival. A day doesn't ever go by that I do not have warm thought of old friends I grew up with in our small town, in our little school, with our caring and kind teachers. Love you all, Karen
